Alpha Systems, LLC began in 1984 as a manufacturing and distribution company for construction products and accessories specifically for the RV, marine and manufactured housing industries.
Back then, the product offerings consisted primarily of sealants. In 1987, however, Alpha and Uniroyal Elastomerics Company pioneered the development of EPDM rubber roofing for manufactured housing and RV applications. That’s when our growth really took off!
As Alpha Systems became the leader in that fast-growing market, we not only sold rubber roofing, but also developed and manufactured all the sealants and adhesives needed to provide a total rubber roofing system solution. Although the membranes have evolved over time, Alpha remains the leader in membrane roofing systems to this very day.
In 1994, Alpha introduced thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing and flooring membranes to the marketplace. TPO, a performance-proven OEM product, provides superior resistance to UV light. This makes it a highly practical and durable solution for numerous RV, marine and household applications.
Alpha acquired an injection mold company in November of 1997, allowing operations to further expand plastics product offerings. This acquisition enabled Alpha to deliver high-end, injection molded products to more markets including automotive, manufactured housing, recreational vehicle and retail industries. Today, Alpha’s injection molded shutters and accessories can be admired on houses all across the country.
In 2003, Alpha’s product development department formulated a hot melt adhesive that was used widely in commercial roofing applications by the industry’s biggest names. We then developed a full line of advanced, complementary adhesives and sealants designed specifically for the roofing industry.
In 2007, Alpha took its commitment to innovation to the next level by expanding R&D and the laboratory. As part of this commitment, Alpha also invested in an array of new testing equipment and hired additional lab personnel. These improvements solidified Alpha Systems as one of the leading manufacturers of technologically advanced water-based, moisture-cured, plural component urethane systems, and hot melt adhesives.
Alpha expanded its plastics production capabilities again in 2009 when it acquired a blow molding press. This equipment allows us to produce larger parts weighing up to 30 pounds. Alpha’s initial focus was in the RV industry, with a full offering of fresh water and holding tanks. With our injection molding along with blow molding capabilities, Alpha is sure to have a solution for many of your plastics needs.
In 2012, Alpha Systems acquired a larger injection molding company and relocated its operations to the Alpha campus in Elkhart, Indiana. This doubled the size of our injection molding operation and ensured Alpha will be able to meet the needs of its partners as their businesses continue to grow.
Today in the 2020’s, Alpha Systems continues to bolster its competitive edge through product quality and innovation. Our mission is to continually develop products and systems that help you build the products today’s markets demand.
